Healthy, happy and prosperous new year to you and yours!
Another year gone by, and yes, it’s that time to not just think about it, but get organized! Time to put away all the wonderful cashmere sweater gifts in your newly remodeled closet… What, you don’t have an organized closet? How about that new Kitchen Aid mixer–no space for it? What about the kids’ bikes? The husband’s motorcycle? Oops, sorry ladies… your husband bought a motorcycle when you were ordering Aunt Betty’s fruit cake this holiday season. Although we may not all have a new motorcycle to squeeze into our cluttered garages, I bet you are still wondering why there is no room for anything! Here are a few thoughts from Bucheimer:
80% of what we buy we don’t use.
Elimination, categorization and location.
- Eliminate – Anything we have not used in a year
- Categorize – Closets, drawers, pantry, home office, basement, mudroom, garage, and attics
- Location – Everything should have its own place, why because when you have a home organized you feel more energized.
So raise a glass of coffee, juice or cocktail (depending on when you are reading this) to a new energized 2015, Cheers!
